一、課題任務(wù)與目的

本文關(guān)注點在于杰克·凱魯亞克《在路上》中所反映的即興與反叛的反文化元素。杰克·凱魯亞克在《在路上》一書中以真實生活中的人物原型，再現(xiàn)了杰克·凱魯亞克和迪恩·莫里亞蒂及艾倫·金斯伯格等人的七年的橫跨美國的旅程。作者以一種驚世駭俗的生活方式和文學(xué)試驗來反對資產(chǎn)階級道德規(guī)范。同時他們的行為也深受黑人爵士樂的熏陶，充滿了即興與刺激的意味。他們追尋求極端的個性與自由，形成了美國六十年代特殊的亞文化群。論文向讀者展現(xiàn)了小說中最具特點“垮掉一代”特點的反文化元素，使讀者進一步的解讀杰克·凱魯亞克和《在路上》。

    三、初步設(shè)計方法與實施方案

本論文從即興與反叛的角度分析了杰克·凱魯亞克的《在路上》反文化元素。一、小說作者杰克·凱魯亞克“自發(fā)性的寫作”手法代表了一種在即興與無序的狀態(tài)下作者“最初的思緒”和“最好的思想”以達到對事物的真正感悟。二、小說中多次出現(xiàn)主人公薩爾·帕拉迪斯和迪恩·莫里亞蒂在流浪途中迷戀爵士樂，和在爵士樂即興奔放強勁的節(jié)奏中自我放縱的場景。

    三、小說中大量描寫了關(guān)于酗酒、吸毒、同性戀、流浪、開快車等與主流文化價值觀不符的反文化行為。“垮掉一代” 以一種及時行樂的反文化的生活態(tài)度，過著放浪不羈的生活。經(jīng)過研究得出結(jié)論：小說《在路上》所有這些反文化的表象實際上是他們在更深層次上所進行的精神上的反叛與探索。并且在一定程度上催化了在美國甚至是整個西方世界的嬉皮士運動和搖滾文化，同時也是60年代新“左”派浪潮的先聲。

Thesis Statement: The elements of Beat Generation’s counter- culture in On the Road shows the value of marginalized cultures. The novel has begun to gain the American public awareness of the beatnik culture, also it is also an inspiration for future generation and anyone who feels dissatisfied with the pressure with the American culture to conform to a conventional lifestyle. On the one hand, this inspiration results from Jack Kerouac’s “Spontaneous writing” and Jazz improvisation .On the other hand, it results from the rebellious life behaviors of the “beats”.
