      Abstract: Since 1968, Suggestopedia has gradually been applied to foreign language teaching. Meanwhile, traditional oral English teaching still has many drawbacks. This thesis aims to apply Suggestopedia to oral English teaching according to the problems existing in oral English teaching of junior high school. Firstly, the thesis introduces the theory of Suggestopedia, and then makes use of learning environment, oral materials, teachers’ teaching concept, and six principles of Suggestopedia to give students suggestions, helping students transform conscious memorization into unconscious memorization. In conclusion, by using Suggetopedia, it helps students learn oral English in a relaxing and interesting situation instead of a serious and embarrassing one in traditional oral English teaching, which can really improve both students’ oral communication ability and teacher’s teaching efficiency.
