Abstract
After the 1980s, theorical research of autonomous learning under the background of network boomed again. The network as the carrier of self-learning model had become an important way for more and more people access to knowledge. Network distance English teaching as IT products was becoming the platform and means for student to learn “from passively to actively” and to cultivate college students’ autonomous learning ability. However, in current network autonomous learning process, there still exited such problems as information messy, low learning efficiency, low effective utilization of resources, etc. To solve these problems, this paper analyzed college students’ network autonomous learning and distance English teaching which proceeded from distance English teaching methods. This paper aimed to further improve college students’ network autonomous learning. Paper first introduced the background, significance and the structure, etc; second, simply expounded contents of distance English teaching and college students’ network autonomous learning; third, analyzed the distance English teaching and college students’ network autonomous learning’s problems and advantages, and specific strategies to improve students’ network autonomous learning.
