摘要:馬奈在《伯熱爾大街叢林酒吧》中描繪了閃閃發光誘人的商品—酒以及時尚的酒吧女郎，絢爛浮華的場景都呈現在了作為背幕的鏡子里。然而從開頭段落中，我們不難看出來，畫家要表現的構成他的畫面的一切要素，都是他的人工為之，并且與其華麗的背景透著隱隱的不和諧感。

這些形象大部分都比不上吧臺上的酒品來的清晰，卻構成了這幅畫中最讓人著迷的因素。巴黎的主流文化、畫家的生平閱歷與作畫時的思想狀態，由他筆下的巴黎女子形象中隱含的個人追求，意味與不變的內涵，這些都可以在畫面中摸索，或是由此來細讀畫作。

自成名作《草地上的午餐》開始，他引起眾人廣泛關注的爭議之作多為女子形象，并且他所描繪的女性角色在那個時代也代表了某種特殊的象征意義。
