Abstract
In recent years, with the growing popularity of Internet, a large number of network buzzwords spring up, attracting great attention of scholars at home and abroad. People are more and more dependent on the media of network to communicate. Buzzword, as a kind of special language variant, has the cultural connotation far beyond the semantic features, which makes many network buzzwords gradually become what people use in their daily life and the exploration of C-E translation of buzzwords is also very popular in the internet. Whether the network buzzwords are accurately translated or not has a direct impact on the effectiveness of cross-cultural communication, as a result, it is of great significance. Based on the Skopos Theory and an analysis of the features of network buzzwords as well as the employment of the translation strategies, this thesis aims at exploring the most effective strategy used to make the internet culture of our nation better transmitted and the target receptors have a better understanding of the charm of our Chinese culture.
